Description

Soft, buttery, and quick to prepare, these Jumbo Dinner Rolls are fluffy delights that pair perfectly with any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1¾ cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  3. Once the yeast mixture is frothy, mix in melted butter and milk. Pour this into the flour mixture and stir until everything is just combined.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Knead for about 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough, and divide it into preferred sizes.
  7. Place shaped rolls onto a greased baking pan, cover them, and let them rise again for about 20 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, replace butter with olive oil. Additionally, you can freeze the rolls in an airtight container and reheat them as needed.
