Description

A cozy dessert that combines the natural sweetness of pumpkin with warm spices, creating a smooth, custard-like consistency perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, and spices. Whisk until creamy.
  3. Lightly grease a baking dish or individual ramekins.
  4. Pour the custard mixture into the prepared dish.
  5. Place the baking dish in a larger one filled with hot water, creating a water bath.
  6. Bake for about 40 to 50 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

Top with whipped cream, extra cinnamon, or caramel sauce for added flavor. Consider crushed nuts for texture.
