Description

A delightful mashup of pizza and grilled cheese, packed with gooey cheese and zesty flavors.


Ingredients

  • Bread (sourdough, Texas toast, or whole grain)
  • Cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or pepper jack)
  • Pizza Sauce (marinara or pesto)
  • Toppings (pepperoni, olives, mushrooms, or bell peppers)
  • Butter


Instructions

  1. Gather all the ingredients, slice the bread and cheese, and prepare your toppings.
  2. Spread a layer of pizza sauce on one side of a slice of bread.
  3. Layer with a generous amount of cheese on top of the sauce.
  4. Add your chosen toppings on top of the cheese.
  5. Add another layer of cheese, spread pizza sauce on the second slice of bread, and place it on top.
  6. Melt some butter in a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
  7. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then carefully flip to cook the other side.
  8. Once both sides are crispy and the cheese is melted, serve and enjoy!

Notes

For a crispy exterior, use good quality bread and don’t skimp on the cheese. Maintain medium heat to ensure the cheese melts perfectly.
