Description

Delightful Pink Vanilla Cake Squares that are soft, fluffy, and wrapped in creamy frosting, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1-2 tsp pink food coloring
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a larger bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy and light (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture alternating with milk, starting and ending with dry.
  6. Mix in pink food coloring until the desired shade of pink is reached.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased square pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. For the frosting, whip powdered sugar with heavy cream until smooth and fluffy.
  9. Once cooled, spread the frosting over the cake and cut into squares.

Notes

Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting to prevent melting. Store in an airtight container.
