- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 12 oz cheese tortellini
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced chicken and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Add more butter if necessary. Toss in minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Adjust spice with more red pepper flakes if desired.
- Stir in tortellini and cook according to package instructions, about 3-5 minutes until tender.
- Add chicken back to the pot along with Parmesan cheese, stirring until everything is well combined and creamy.
Notes
Garnish with extra Parmesan and fresh basil before serving. Pair with a salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
