Description

A delightful recipe for soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies inspired by the famous Neiman Marcus cookies, perfect for sharing with loved ones.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop dough balls onto a lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for about 9-11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For a thicker cookie, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking.
