- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup strawberry puree
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream together melted butter and sugar in another bowl until fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Divide the batter into three bowls; leave one for chocolate, add vanilla extract to another, and mix strawberry puree into the last.
- Pour each batter into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then flip them onto racks to cool completely.
- Layer the cakes with chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, adding frosting in between.
