Ingredients

  • 500mg berberine (optional, capsule opened)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a small saucepan.
  2. Add grated ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon to the water.
  3. Let it simmer on low heat for 7 to 10 minutes.
  4. Turn off heat and strain the mixture into a mug.
  5. Stir in fresh lemon juice and raw honey if desired.
  6. If using berberine, open the capsule and stir in the powder once the drink cools slightly.
