Description

A warm and flavorful bowl of Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles, combining savory ground beef, fresh veggies, and chewy noodles in a delicious sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Water (for cornstarch)

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and ginger, and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped bell peppers and cook for 3-4 minutes until they soften.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, then add the cooked noodles. Toss until coated in the sauce.
  6. Dissolve the cornstarch in a bit of water and stir it in, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with green onions and red pepper flakes if desired before serving hot.

Notes

You can use lean ground beef for a healthier option or swap to chicken or turkey. Adjust the sauce to your taste for sweetness or saltiness.
