- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Water (for cornstarch)
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in minced garlic and ginger, and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped bell peppers and cook for 3-4 minutes until they soften.
- Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, then add the cooked noodles. Toss until coated in the sauce.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in a bit of water and stir it in, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Sprinkle with green onions and red pepper flakes if desired before serving hot.
Notes
You can use lean ground beef for a healthier option or swap to chicken or turkey. Adjust the sauce to your taste for sweetness or saltiness.
