- 4-5 medium-sized fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine the sliced peaches with half of the sugar and let them sit for about 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining sugar.
- Add milk to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour in the melted butter and fold it gently into the mixture.
- Spoon the peaches into ramekins or a small baking dish.
- Carefully scoop the batter over the peaches.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before serving warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. You can also substitute with gluten-free flour or use canned peaches if needed.
