Description

Delightful mini apple pies filled with spiced, sweet apple filling in a flaky crust, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Pie Crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin slices.
  2. In a big bowl, toss the apple slices with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, melted butter, and flour until well-coated.
  3. Roll out the crust on a floured surface and cut out circles about 4-5 inches in diameter.
  4. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle.
  5. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and press down the edges to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Mix different types of apples for a more complex flavor. Let pies cool a bit before serving.
