Description

Delicious maraschino cherry chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy, and packed with sweet cherry flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped cherries until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop dough onto lined baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft. Let cool for 5 minutes on sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
