- 1 cup maraschino cherries, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chopped cherries until evenly distributed.
- Drop dough onto lined baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft. Let cool for 5 minutes on sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking will help maintain shape and improve flavor. Use fresh ingredients for best results.
