Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the maple syrup.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, adding milk until smooth and well combined.
- In a small bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, and melted butter for the streusel until crumbly.
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the streusel over the top.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
