Description

A moist and tender cake topped with a crunchy streusel made from brown sugar, flour, and pure maple syrup, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, melted (for streusel)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the maple syrup.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, adding milk until smooth and well combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, and melted butter for the streusel until crumbly.
  7. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the streusel over the top.
  8. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
