Description
A crispy and cheesy chicken dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a golden crust, inspired by LongHorn Steakhouse.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 2 eggs, whisked
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
- Dip each chicken breast in the whisked eggs, then coat them generously in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For even cooking, flatten thicker chicken breasts before cooking. Add mozzarella for extra gooeyness if desired.
