Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, being careful not to overheat it.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Stir well, then add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
- Mix in the fresh lemon juice and zest.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely, then drizzle with a glaze made from powdered sugar and lemon juice.
- Cut into squares and serve.
