Description

A delightful twist on classic cookies with a rich chocolate flavor and crunchy walnuts, soft and chewy in texture.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips or Chunks


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In one bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder, and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop mounds of dough onto lined baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges look set but centers are soft.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes for chewier cookies. Don’t overmix once dry and wet ingredients are combined.
