- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

- 1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Chopped Walnuts
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips or Chunks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In one bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder, and set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate until evenly distributed.
- Scoop mounds of dough onto lined baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges look set but centers are soft.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes for chewier cookies. Don’t overmix once dry and wet ingredients are combined.
