- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and nuts until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges.
- Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature butter and don’t overmix the dough.
