Description

A delightful cookie variety mixing oats, chocolate chips, and nuts, bringing warmth and nostalgia with every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the oats, chocolate chips, and nuts until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
  8. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges.
  9. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature butter and don’t overmix the dough.
