Description

Delicious and versatile Kitchen Sink Cookies filled with chocolate, nuts, oats, and your favorite mix-ins.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans, chopped)
  • 1 cup dried fruit or candy (raisins, cranberries, or M&Ms)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the oats, chocolate chips, nuts, and any extra mix-ins.
  7. Scoop dough onto a prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden on the edges and slightly underbaked in the center.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Experiment with different mix-ins for varied flavors. Chilling the dough for 30 minutes can enhance the cookies’ texture.
