Description

Delightful Italian Butter Cookies with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • Optional: Sprinkles, chopped nuts, or a dusting of extra powdered sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your baking sheets or line them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened butter and sifted powdered sugar together until light and creamy.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully mixed.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing at low speed until just combined.
  5. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls. Place them on prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  6. Optionally, press sprinkles or chopped nuts on top of each cookie.
  7. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden on the edges.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes on the sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
