Description

Ingredients

  • 3-4 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the peach slices.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
