- 3-4 ripe peaches, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the peach slices.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
