Description
Deliciously crispy honey mustard tofu tenders marinated in a sweet and tangy sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block firm or extra-firm tofu
- 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 cloves fresh minced garlic)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
Instructions
- Drain and press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and soy sauce until smooth.
- Slice the tofu into strips and toss them in the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Place marinated tofu on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway. Alternatively, pan-fry in oil until crispy.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
Notes
For the crispiest results, press tofu well. Marinating longer enhances flavor, but even a short time works. Experiment with mustard types for different flavors.
