Description

A deliciously soft and fluffy bread that’s subtly sweet, perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk, warm
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs into the well. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 7-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
  6. After rising, punch the dough down, shape it into a loaf or rolls.
  7. Let it rise again for 30 minutes in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Ensure your yeast is fresh for best results. Feel free to experiment with flavors by adding spices or fruits.
