- 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the pie crust by following package instructions for store-bought or rolling out and placing homemade in a pie dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, melted butter, and eggs until combined and smooth.
- Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using) along with the vanilla extract.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
