Description

A delightful layered dessert combining fluffy vanilla cake, creamy filling, and fresh fruits for a heavenly treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh fruits (strawberries, blueberries, bananas)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease two 9-inch round cake pans and line the bottoms with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the sugar and eggs until creamy and light.
  5. Gradually add the milk and vanilla extract to the sugar-egg mixture, mixing until combined.
  6. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet, stirring just until no clumps remain.
  7. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Whip the heavy cream in a bowl until stiff peaks form.
  10. Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a serving plate, topping with whipped cream and fresh fruits, and repeat with the second layer.
  11. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

Serve with chocolate sauce or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Use room temperature ingredients for best results.
