- 4 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (or coconut sugar)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (or almonds)
- 2 tablespoons butter (or coconut oil)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel, core, and slice the apples, then toss with cinnamon.
- In a bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, and chopped nuts. Add melted butter (or coconut oil) and mix until crumbly.
- Layer the chopped apples in a baking dish and spread the crumble topping evenly over them.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until apples are bubbling and topping is golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with Greek yogurt or honey.
