- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Sugar (or coconut sugar)
- 1 Egg (or flax egg for vegan option)
- 2 tablespoons Butter (melted, or coconut oil for dairy-free)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Milk (any type, almond or oat milk for dairy-free)
- Additional sugar and cinnamon for coating
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg, melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk together until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until a dough forms.
- Use a spoon or your hands to form small bite-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- While still warm, roll the churro bites in a mix of sugar and cinnamon for finishing.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Can be frozen for about a month.
