- ½ cup brown sugar

- 2 large eggs (or flax eggs for vegan)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Food coloring and icing for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine softened butter with granulated and brown sugar. Beat until creamy and fluffy.
- Add eggs one by one and vanilla extract. Beat until fully combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt until blended.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until a dough forms.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for about 30 minutes.
- Dust the surface with flour, roll out the chilled dough to about ¼ inch thick, and use cookie cutters to shape designs.
- Place cookies on a lined baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool completely before decorating with icing and food coloring.
Notes
Chill the dough to prevent spreading. Decorate creatively with icing using piping bags.
