Description

Fluffy, gooey cinnamon rolls topped with vibrant orange cream cheese frosting, perfect for Halloween celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Orange Food Coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles or Edible Eyes (for decoration)


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar and the yeast. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and sugar. Create a well and add the yeast mixture along with softened butter. Mix until the dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5 to 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for about 60 minutes until doubled in size.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar for the filling. Set aside.
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  7. Spread softened butter over rolled dough; sprinkle evenly with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Whip up the frosting with cream cheese, powdered sugar, and orange food coloring while the rolls cool.
  12. Spread frosting over warm rolls and decorate with sprinkles or edible eyes.
