Deliciously rich and fudgy brownies, perfect for Halloween celebrations, topped with vibrant colors and spooky decorations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles or candy (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. Melt the butter in a microwave or small saucepan and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. If using, mix in food coloring.
  5. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Once cooled, frost with chocolate ganache or icing and top with sprinkles or candies.

Notes

For a creative twist, serve brownies with vanilla ice cream or cut them into spooky shapes using cookie cutters.
