- 6 cups stale bread, cut into cubes
- 2 cups milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup raisins (or chocolate chips/dried cranberries)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place your bread cubes in a large mixing bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until combined.
- Pour the milk mixture over the bread and stir to soak all the bread. Fold in the raisins or any extras.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Allow to cool and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For a special touch, serve with caramel sauce or vanilla ice cream.
