- 4 cups stale bread (white, brioche, or croissants), cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk (whole, almond, or oat)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Chop stale bread into 1-inch cubes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Add cubed bread to the egg mixture and ensure all pieces are soaked. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
- Grease a baking dish and pour in the bread mixture, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown, and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy warm or cold!
