Description

Savory garlic butter roasted cabbage steaks are thick slices of cabbage brushed with a flavorful garlic butter mixture, roasted to perfection for a delightful experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 head of green or red cabbage
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons of butter (or olive oil for a dairy-free option)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme), optional
  • Balsamic reduction, for drizzling (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the cabbage head into thick steaks, about 1-inch thick.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with the garlic butter mixture.
  5. Place the cabbage steaks on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Once they’re done, garnish with fresh herbs and balsamic reduction if desired.
