Description

Savory bite-sized steak pieces marinated in a spicy-sweet blend, perfect for a crowd-pleasing appetizer or an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1-2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated (or ground ginger)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (or canola oil)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, red pepper flakes, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil.
  3. Add the steak, cover, and marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably a few hours.
  4. Heat a skillet or grill until hot.
  5. Remove steak from marinade (reserve marinade) and cook in hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until browned but still juicy.
  6. Pour reserved marinade into the skillet and let it bubble for another minute.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve immediately.

Notes

Marinate longer for more flavor, adjust heat according to preference, and avoid overcooking for tender steak.
