Description

A festive dessert with colorful layers of jello and a creamy topping, perfect for Christmas gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Jello (various flavors)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Cool Whip
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Dissolve your first jello flavor in one cup of boiling water. Stir well until completely dissolved.
  2. Mix in one cup of cold water and pour into a clear rectangular dish. Chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, or until it sets firmly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in the Cool Whip.
  4. Once your first jello layer is set, spread the creamy mixture evenly over it. Return to the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Repeat the steps with your choice of jello flavors, layering them one after the other, letting each layer set before adding the next.
  6. Once all layers are set, cut into squares or slices and enjoy!

Notes

Garnish with fresh mint leaves or shredded coconut for a snowy look. Can be made a day ahead.
