Instructions
- Wash the basil leaves thoroughly and pat them dry.
- Peel the garlic cloves.
- In a food processor or blender, add the basil, garlic, pine nuts, and a pinch of salt. Blend until minced.
- While blending, slowly drizzle in the olive oil to create a creamy texture.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese and blend until mixed. Adjust with more olive oil for a smoother pesto if desired.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Use immediately or store in a jar, drizzled with olive oil on top to keep it fresh in the fridge for up to a week.
