- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup oil or melted butter
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners or grease it lightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk and oil or melted butter, mixing until well combined.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tins, filling each well about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Don’t overmix to ensure a tender crumb. You can add more chocolate chips on top before baking for extra chocolate goodness.
