Description

Decadent double chocolate muffins that are fluffy and bursting with chocolate chips, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup oil or melted butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners or grease it lightly.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk and oil or melted butter, mixing until well combined.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tins, filling each well about two-thirds full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Don’t overmix to ensure a tender crumb. You can add more chocolate chips on top before baking for extra chocolate goodness.
