Description

A deliciously sweet and fluffy cinnamon bread inspired by the treat from Dollywood, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup additional Granulated Sugar for the filling


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring until just combined. It’s okay to have a few lumps.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Pour half the batter into a greased loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over it, then top with the remaining batter and the rest of your cinnamon sugar.
  7. Use a knife to gently swirl the batter to create marble-like patterns.
  8. Bake for about 45-50 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack, then whisk together powdered sugar and milk for the glaze to drizzle on top.

Notes

Use fresh spices for the best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to avoid dense bread.
