Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups cheese (Mozzarella or your choice)
- Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, veggies, herbs, pineapple)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix warm water and active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Stir in olive oil and salt until well blended.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and stretchy.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm spot for about an hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Punch down the dough and roll it out into your desired shape on a floured surface.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the base, sprinkle cheese on top, and add your favorite toppings.
- Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake for about 12-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.
- Cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve.
Notes
Knead well for a perfect texture, don’t skip the rising, and experiment with different toppings for variety.
