- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg (optional)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Fresh Apples (grated or chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in the grated or chopped apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.
Notes
Use freshly grated apples for the best flavor. Don’t skip the cooling time before frosting.
