Description

A delightful dessert that combines sweet pears with tangy feta cheese and honey for a beautiful and impressive dish.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears (Bartlett or Anjou)
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled (or goat cheese)
  • 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup/agave)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (or pecans)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash, peel (optional), and slice the pears in half, removing the core.
  3. In a bowl, mix crumbled feta, honey, and walnuts, adding cinnamon if desired.
  4. Place pear halves cut side up in a baking dish, drizzle with olive oil, and spoon the feta mixture over each half.
  5. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until pears are tender and feta is golden.
  6. Drizzle with extra honey before serving.
