- 3 medium-sized apples, peeled and diced
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar, plus extra for sprinkling
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
- Gently stir in the diced apples until they are coated with the batter.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream, and feel free to drizzle caramel sauce on top for an extra treat.
