Description

A cozy crockpot dish featuring tender cubed steak simmered in rich gravy, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds cubed steak
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce


Instructions

  1. Season the cubed steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Optionally, sear the cubed steak in a pan for 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. In the crockpot, layer the seared steak, sliced onion, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir gently.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until meat is tender.
  5. Serve the steak and gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

Notes

For a thicker gravy, use less broth or let it cook uncovered in the last hour. Add carrots or potatoes for a heartier meal.
