Description
Discover how to make crispy langos, a traditional Hungarian street food, in your air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- Sour cream for topping
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it gets bubbly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well and pour in the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms and knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions. Roll each portion into a flat circle.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place dough circles in the basket, ensuring they don’t touch, and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Remove once golden and crispy, and top with sour cream, minced garlic, and cheese if desired.
Notes
Don’t skip the yeast proofing to ensure a light and fluffy texture. Use warm water to activate the yeast without killing it.
