- 2 pounds Chicken Wings
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1/2 cup Hot Sauce (Frank’s RedHot recommended)
- 1/2 cup Butter, melted
- Optional: cayenne pepper, garlic powder
Instructions
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, paprika, and any optional seasonings.
- Toss the wings in the dry mixture until evenly coated and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully drop in a few wings at a time and fry for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan and mix in the hot sauce, stirring until well combined.
- Once wings are done frying, let them cool for a minute before tossing them in the sauce until fully coated.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks.
Notes
For added crispiness, ensure wings are dried thoroughly and avoid overcrowding the frying pot.
