Description

A quick and easy recipe for tangy and crunchy crispy air fryer fried pickles, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 jar dill pickles or bread and butter pickles
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Drain and pat dry the pickles.
  2. Set up the breading station: Mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in one bowl; beat eggs in a second bowl; combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and cayenne in a third bowl.
  3. Coat each pickle slice in flour mixture, then eggs, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C), spray the basket with cooking spray, and arrange the pickles in a single layer, spraying the tops lightly.
  5. Air fry for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from air fryer, let cool slightly, and enjoy with dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, slice pickles about ¼ inch thick, ensure they are well dried, and avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
