Description
A quick and easy recipe for tangy and crunchy crispy air fryer fried pickles, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 jar dill pickles or bread and butter pickles
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Drain and pat dry the pickles.
- Set up the breading station: Mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in one bowl; beat eggs in a second bowl; combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and cayenne in a third bowl.
- Coat each pickle slice in flour mixture, then eggs, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C), spray the basket with cooking spray, and arrange the pickles in a single layer, spraying the tops lightly.
- Air fry for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from air fryer, let cool slightly, and enjoy with dipping sauce.
Notes
For best results, slice pickles about ¼ inch thick, ensure they are well dried, and avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
