Description
A comforting dish with tender beef enveloped in a creamy sauce that hugs every piece of pasta.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 12 ounces pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 cup cheese (Parmesan or mozzarella)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Italian herbs
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot, add a pinch of salt, and cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up evenly. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion softens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to thicken slightly before adding cheese and herbs.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and mix gently, coating the pasta in the creamy sauce.
- Serve topped with extra cheese or fresh herbs.
Notes
Don’t overcook the pasta; aim for al dente as it will continue to cook in the sauce. Adjust creaminess to suit your taste and experiment with different cheeses.
