Description

A comforting dish with tender beef enveloped in a creamy sauce that hugs every piece of pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 12 ounces pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup cheese (Parmesan or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Italian herbs
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot, add a pinch of salt, and cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up evenly. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion softens, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to thicken slightly before adding cheese and herbs.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and mix gently, coating the pasta in the creamy sauce.
  6. Serve topped with extra cheese or fresh herbs.

Notes

Don’t overcook the pasta; aim for al dente as it will continue to cook in the sauce. Adjust creaminess to suit your taste and experiment with different cheeses.
