Description

A delightful dessert combining the tangy taste of fresh cranberries with a silky custard filling, all nestled in a buttery pie crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust and fit it into a pie pan.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add the heavy cream while continuing to whisk.
  4. Gently fold in the cranberries, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  5. Pour the custard mixture into the prepared pie crust and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the center is set with a slight jiggle.
  6. Let it cool before slicing. Serve warm or chilled with whipped cream.

Notes

For a thicker filling, consider adding an extra egg. Cover pie crust edges with foil if browning too quickly. Use fresh cranberries for the best flavor.
