Description
A creamy, tangy dip that combines the classic texture of aioli with the sweet, tangy goodness of cranberries. Perfect for holiday gatherings and versatile enough to pair with a variety of dishes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh cranberries (or canned cranberry sauce)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Rinse the fresh cranberries and toss them in a saucepan with a tablespoon of water. Cook over medium heat until they burst, about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the cooked cranberries and the sweetener of your choice. Smash them up a bit for a chunkier aioli.
- Add salt to taste and mix until completely combined.
- Chill in the fridge for at least an hour to let the flavors meld together.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute mayonnaise with vegan mayo and honey with maple syrup. Adjust sweetness to taste; let the aioli chill for best flavor.
