Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
- In another large bowl, blend the sugars, applesauce, eggs, oil, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth out the top.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it sit in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
