- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant and translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart and cooking until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce, followed by chili powder and oregano. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce, tossing everything together until coated.
- Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, serve hot, and enjoy!
