Description

A hearty bowl of spaghetti smothered in rich, meaty sauce and topped with gooey cheese, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart and cooking until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce, followed by chili powder and oregano. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce, tossing everything together until coated.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes until cheese is melted.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley, serve hot, and enjoy!

Notes

Cook pasta al dente for best texture; feel free to customize with your favorite veggies.
